At MCA we believe thatGod, in his mercy, sent his one and only son, Jesus, to earth where he lived a life without sin, yet paid the price for sin, which is death. Jesus’ death on the cross served as the payment for all sin, once and for all. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. That is the gospel (good news) of Jesus.
The gospel is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). But the gospel also affects how we live. Because God loved us, we can love each other. Because God has shown us forgiveness, we can show forgiveness. Because God has extended grace to us, we can extend grace to others. The gospel is the center of everything we do at MCA. All students have a Bible class each day, but because the gospel affects every area of our life, it also permeates how we teach reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, the arts, and sports. Teachers are encouraged to counsel with students as needed and we have pastors available from Midwest Bible Church for counseling and teaching.
